I would like to start off by apologizing for being a horrible blogger. No wonder I don't have many followers. Oh well..
My excuse for being so horrible is the fact that 1. I've been crazy busy, and 2. I have a crap camera. That being said, I recently upgraded my cellular device to an iPhone. It takes better pictures than my camera, and I ain't lyin'! In order to try to keep somewhat of a good reputation, I would like to state, for the record, that I have been documenting my life on my phone. However, I have yet to figure out how to upload my photos to my blog on my phone, so I finally uploaded them to the computer to share. Because I know you are just so interested.
And just to warn you ahead of time, this post has absolutely no order. I apologize.
First on the agenda, sweet little Peyton (or Pey Pey, as he is much more commonly referred to) turned three! Josh and I headed to his birthday party at the park. He got lots of gifts, including a waterslide from us..
And a "Cars" kite from my brother and sister-in-law, Heath and Rachell. Heath showed him how to fly it..
And he loved it! By the way, I think this is one of the most precious things I've ever seen. I mean, look at that sweet face!
After the gift opening, a slightly chaotic event occurred. The parents of a neighboring birthday boy went a little immature on us and started a ruckus over a major misunderstanding. I won't get into all of that because it was absolutely the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I was even there to see it. Anywho, Rachell decided to break out her "white trash fighting pose" to lighten the mood..
I think she could do some damage, don't you?
In my Prims class, we have discovered a new game. It was kind of made up to keep them from going stir-crazy waiting on their moms to come get them when church was out. It's called "The Pose Game." We get them all hyped up, chanting "Go! Go! Go!" and then yell out "Pose!" and they freeze, striking a pose. It's very monotonous, but they love it, so we do it often.
My sweet Jack Russell terrier / something else mix that we adopted from the shelter a couple years ago is an absolute hoot. He's quite possibly my favorite, but don't tell Molly or Ace that. Jack is extremely curious. He's also really, really, REALLY clumsy. He makes me laugh a lot.
One night, he was barking, so we went outside to see what all the racket was about. Apparently, something was in our shrubs. No tellin' what.
I'm VERY surprised he didn't fall. Our porch is about 4 feet off the ground. My sweet little Jack.
Next subject: College graduation!
My cousin, Brittany, graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi last month with a B.A. in Elementary Education! Rachell and I, along with the rest of my family, went to support.
Congrats, Britt!
A few Sundays ago, I, along with Rachell, Brittany, and another cousin (Andrea), went to lay by the pool at my grandparents' house. Several of the guys from church decided to go golfing. Steven, Zeke (my boyfriend) and Peyton's daddy, went with them, so we took the wee lads to the pool. They didn't have swimsuits, so Andrea found some of her kiddos' old ones. Zeke fit pretty well into Alex's, but Peyton was a different story. He got stuck in Bella's purple shorts with a rainbow button. Poor guy. He didn't seem to mind though! =)
It was such a relaxing afternoon.
Please excuse my knobby knees.
Peyton got stuck in Bella's shorts, and Zeke got stuck in Bella's float. Poor little loves.
And just because it made my day, I am posting a picture of a very yummy snow cone that I had at work one day. Yummm..
On to one of my favorite subjects in the world: sweet baby Jake. Josh and I took Cheryl (Jake's mama) and Jake out to eat one Friday night. Cheryl sat up front with Josh, and I sat in the backseat with my date, Jake. He looked so handsome in his little Polo outfit.
He's getting so big! He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz when he was born a little over 2 months ago, and now he is over 14 pounds!
He loves his Auntie Ash, though. He especially loves to sleep on her chest!
Now, tell me that face doesn't just make your heart melt?
Last week, we had an odd visitor at work... a baby goose!
He was so cute! I tried to feed him, but he wouldn't let me get close enough.
Josh and I, Heath and Rachell, and my parents went to the beach over Memorial Day weekend. I only took one picture, as I was too busy relaxing and basking in the sunlight.
Again, excuse my knobby knees.
Tuesday, our friends, Ainsley and Justin, had a sweet baby girl named Eva Caroline! She is just perfect! She weighed 7 pounds. She came out with a head full of black hair! Just precious!
She is just absolutely beautiful!
After we went to the hospital to meet Eva, we stopped by Cheryl's to see my little man!
He got his shots that day, so of course he had to tell his Auntie Ash all about it!
And his Unca Josh had to love on him a little bit too!
And finally, on to the last topic of bloggersation..
Last night in Prims, we made art out of play dough! This was partly because we are working on the art unit and mainly because I went galavanting with Cheryl and Jake and didn't have time to prepare properly. It was way better than what I originally intended to do though.
These are my play dough creations. A flower, a rainbow, and little blue man. I'm not sure why he is blue, or why he's wearing red shoes. He just is.
Brittany helps me every week, and she really got into the play dough activity. She was quite diligent.
Brittany's creations - a penguin and a wedding cake, respectively.
Helper Britt!
Homegirl straight up would NOT let me take her picture. It turned into a game.
The Pose Game! Haha!
Goofy, goofy girls!
And to end this little game of catch up, I will include what I did at work yesterday.
Note: I was VERY bored.
Hope it wasn't too boring! I'll try to get better, so I don't have to catch you up in one post!
Have a happy Thursday!!
Whew! I need to take a nap after reading this...no wonder you haven't had time to blog :) I'm glad you got yourself one of those fancy little iPhones. The pictures are awesome! I desperately need an upgrade...my little phone is starting to fall apart. Thanks for catching us all up; I've missed ya! Happy weekend!
